Decoys
The print series Decoys juxtaposes contemporary and historic representations of surveillance through screenprinting and blind embossing. Using white ink on white paper, the barely visible prints reference WWII-era cartoons advising camouflage techniques for soldiers, and imagery from Google Earth of the area of the print studio where these prints were made, created by satellite images being wrapped around a 3D modeled terrain, depicting the tree foliage that blocks the satellite’s view of the site.
